Founded in 1794, the Oban Distillery was built by the Stevenson brothers. Fully refurbished in 1890 , it remains one of the oldest and smallest distilleries in Scotland . Due to the limited space available between the cliffs and the sea, active little town of Oban remained huddled around his distillery. This natural limits to its expansion explained that the distillery has always been a little difficult to meet a growing demand .
