The 16-year-old Lagavulin whiskey is a single malt from Islay Island, very peaty and iodized, belonging to the famous Classic Malts range. Of an old gold color with amber reflections, the ample nose is marked by animal notes and smoky barley, with a trace of unctuous peat (the vanilla of the barrel?). The mouth, peated, reveals gradually the marine notes (smoked fish, iodine) on licorice background. The finish, smoke is also marked by finely woody notes.
