WHISKEY Ailsa Bay "Sweet Smoke" Scotland 48,9 ° 70 cl

(€81.84 L)

Ailsa Bay Whiskey is the first “peaty” whiskey from the Lowlands (South of Scotland) that is peaty and sweet. It is the first brand to have Part Per Million indicators of phenols (PPM) on its bottle, which characterizes the more or less peaty character and Sweet Part Per Million (SPPM). This second measure is a creation of Malt Master Brian Kinsman who qualifies the degree of smoothness and fruity notes. So here is the data: 22 PPM and 19 SPPM. It is therefore a particularly balanced whiskey. On the nose, you will find notes of smoky wood with a slight hint of heather. The sweetness is enhanced by its notes of caramelized apples. On the palate, the initial peaty liveliness is quickly balanced by an explosion of vanilla. The palate oscillates between smoky, fruit and caramel notes. The finish is balanced with a perfect synergy between the sweetness of the notes of oak and the dry notes of peat. For this Whiskey, we will retain: vanilla, fruitiness, smokiness, creaminess, love apple and oak.
