The Whiskey Project XX from Glenfiddich is a crazy project launched in 2016 by Brian Kinsman our Cellar Master and created in collaboration with Glenfiddich ambassadors. A single malt quite different from what we are used to bottling at Glenfiddich. For the second version of the "Experimental Series", Brian's ambition was to create a remarkable single malt by combining the curiosity and knowledge of his Glenfiddich Ambassadors. The nose is fruity with hints of apple blossoms, summer fruits and ripe pear. A nice balance between woody notes of oak, vanilla and a hint of liquorice and spices. The palate is refined and balanced, the initial sweetness is complemented by a singular note of toasted almond, cinnamon and a touch of fresh tannin. The finish is long with woody, sweet and elegant notes. You can enjoy it as an aperitif, as a digestif, and also with a meal with meat or game in sauce, a clafoutis with red fruits or even blue cheese from Auvergne.
