LIQUOR Dahu Bigallet 40° 50 cl
€45.46 L
The Dahu liqueur from Maison Bigallet is consumed as an aperitif, as a digestive, as a topping on ice cream or in a cocktail. Dahu is not a liqueur with one leg shorter than the other, but a full-fledged liqueur made from macerations and distillations of sweet and bitter orange peel. Its dark color is due to the presence of natural caramel, referring to an ancestral recipe from an Isère distiller who had accidentally let his preparation burn while cooking in a copper cauldron... Star anise, Iris and clove bring a warm and spicy note to this very digestive liqueur with a good orange taste. The History of Dahu: Once very widespread, practically extinct today, its two upstream legs are always shorter than its downstream legs, which forces it to walk in the same direction. Dahu hunting is practiced at night, using a bag, a candle, and a lot of patience. The whistles of mountaineers are the cause of the scarcity of the Dahu. Frightened, he turns around and unhooks himself from the mountain.
