It was during his meeting with Matilda Temperly (master distiller of Somerset Cider Brandy Company) that Brian Kinsman (cellar master of Glenfiddich) had the idea for this single malt whiskey with a unique finish. Glenfiddich Orchard is a Scottish single malt that first aged for two years in oak barrels before being matured for 4 months in ex-Somerset Pomona barrels. Somerset Pomona liqueur is a blend of apple cider brandy and apple juice. This finish brings to the already fruity single malt of Glenfiddich tasty aromas of fresh and juicy apple.
