Whiskey Octomore 13.2 is when the power of Octomore peat meets the delicacy of aging in Oloroso Sherry casks. It is golden in color. Its nose is intense, round, peaty with aromas of cereal, coconut, vanilla, almond, apricot, leather and earth. Its mouth is oily, intense, with roasted grains, hot spices, peat, leather, citrus. Octomore is the third bottling series from the Bruichladdich distillery, located on the Isle of Islay in the West of Scotland. If Bruichladdich is not peated, and Port Charlotte very peated, Octomore is the most extreme range of the distillery. Peat levels that exceed the peaks: Octomore is to date the most peated whiskey in the world. Each annual batch is made up of three bottlings: Series 1 offers barley and peat light. The barley comes 100% from the island. The aging takes place exclusively in American oak barrels, either ex-bourbon or ex-Tennessee Whiskey. Here, it will even have spent another year in a new American oak barrel. A bottle reserved for thrill seekers.
