Château Apogée LALANDE POMEROL Red Wine AOP 75 cl

Château Apogée in Lalande Pomerol has a fruity nose and offers a fine intensity. It reveals notes of fleshy and juicy blackberries, fleshy and juicy blackcurrant and small notes of raspberry associated with fine touches of juicy strawberries associated with fine hints of Bourbon vanilla and licorice, sweet blond tobacco and very fine hints of sweet spices. The palate is fresh, fruity, balanced, precise and offers juiciness, good definition of tension, straightness, a finely tight structure as well as concentration. The tannins are well developed. Presence of hints of vanilla and caramelized almond on the persistence. It has a very intense purple color. Its nose is very refined with lots of ripe fruit, light freshness and tobacco notes. On the palate, this vintage has lived up to its name because it is truly at the peak in terms of concentration of ripe, crunchy and energetic fruit, which increases further when inhaling a trickle of air. Nice tannins too, the structure is there, but very fine. Meanwhile, in the finish, the fruit continues in the same delicious and pleasant way. Congratulations to Alain Aubert’s team. This small 4ha cru contains some pretty plots that Alain Aubert works with his daughters, they make very high quality wine at very reasonable prices. The vineyard is on average 25 years old and produces very good quality berries. The terroir has a lot of clayey gravel, often like in Pomerol. The wine matured for 18 months in oak barrels.
