The Black Mountain BM N ° 1 is a whiskey that offers connoisseurs a rich, complex, multi-faceted gustatory experience.
For its development, the distillery selected the best barrels of BM N ° 2, which they left to refine for many more months, at least double what is necessary to obtain BM N ° 2. They added a blended old whiskey, with a high proportion of malt, the youngest whiskey of which is 9 years old (the others much more), and which has also been diluted substantially with the Black Mountain water to bring back Its alcohol content at 45% vol. These two delicately assembled whiskeys are then housed in barrels that were previously used for the aging of the most prestigious spirits in the southwest of France for a minimum period of 6 months.
Before bottling, the level of alcohol is again rectified one last time to reach 42% vol, so that its qualities are expressed to the best.
