Chimay Blanche beer is a triple Trappist. In Belgium, it is certainly one of the most famous triple beers. Brewed at the Abbey of Scourmont, it comes from the know-how of the Cistercian-Trappist monks.
Visually, it is a very pretty blonde with a golden robe, with a fine snowy moss. On the nose, it develops surprising aromas of raisin and compote apple. This complexity is due to the finesse of the hopping of the Cistercian brothers. The mouth is nicely balanced, we juggle here between the fruity notes of the yeasts and the bitterness of the bitter hops. Thus, her style is very different from that of her big sisters, Chimay Rouge and Chimay Bleu.
It is strongly advised to consume this relatively young, cool beer (6 to 8 °) and in its Chimay glass in order to fully appreciate it!
