WHISKEY Octomore 13.1 5 YEARS 137.3 PPM Scotland Islay 59.2° 70 cl in its case
€276.51 L
Octomore 13.1 returns for the thirteenth batch, here with the bottling refined 100% in Bourbon barrels, enough to give free rein to the intensity of peat and cereal. It is a beautiful golden color. Its nose is intense, round, peaty, with notes of cereal, coconut, vanilla, almond, apricot, leather and earth. His mouth is oily, intense. There are roasted beans, warm spices, peat, leather and citrus. Octomore is the third bottling series from the Bruichladdich distillery, located on the Isle of Islay in the West of Scotland. If Bruichladdich is not peated, and Port Charlotte very peated, Octomore is the most extreme range of the distillery. Peat levels that exceed the peaks: Octomore is to date the most peated whiskey in the world. Each annual batch is made up of three bottlings: Series 1 offers barley and peat light. The barley comes 100% from the island. The aging takes place exclusively in American oak barrels, either ex-bourbon or ex-Tennessee Whiskey. Here, it will even have spent another year in a new American oak barrel. A bottle to reserve for thrill seekers.
