The Izarra Verte liqueur was created in 1906 in Hendaye (French Basque Country), by the pharmacist and botanist Joseph Grattau, IZARRA is the emblematic liqueur of the Basque Country. The distillate, composed of plants and spices and a double maceration of prunes and walnut hulls, is combined after passing through a copper still with Armagnac to obtain a result faithful to the original recipe. On the nose, you will find fresh vegetal, menthol and camphor notes with a pinch of spices. In the mouth, its flavor has a beautiful amplitude and harmony between flavors. There is a nice balance between the freshness and the intensity of the plants.
