The old-fashioned La Goudale Blonde beer has a slight taste of special malts, flavored with Flanders hops as well as aromas of high fermentation. Which gives it all its character and balance. Brewed in Douai by the Brasseurs de Gayant, Goudale is a blond beer of high fermentation which is a fitting representation of so-called "Guard" beers, brewed for generations in the north of France. It is produced with special malts and flavored with finely selected hops from Flanders. La Goudale develops a clear golden yellow color in the glass and is adorned with a good head of relatively persistent foam. It offers fruity and spicy aromas on the nose with strong notes of yeast. We discover in the mouth a soft and fruity beer where the roundness of the malts envelops the spicy notes of the yeast and the frank bitterness of the hops of Flanders. This golden beer with character has many flavors to offer. The finish is dry and hoppy. Straight from a recipe from the Middle Ages, Goudale takes its name from its history. Indeed, as it is mentioned on the label, "In the 14th century, good beers were called Goudale, Goudalle or Good Ale. They were sold for 2 deniers a jar, at a merchant named Goudalier".
