CALVADOS Closville 40° French 1 L
€35.30 L
Calvados Closville is a cider brandy. The birth of Calvados, this cider brandy that has become the standard of Normandy over the centuries, is lost throughout regional history. The first mentions of this nectar date from 1553. Sieur de Gouberville, a gentleman from Cotentin, wrote a treatise on the distillation of cider spirits. We're not talking about calvados yet. The Calvados department ultimately gave its name to this fragrant alcohol. It was in fact in the region that it was mainly manufactured and marketed and in 1942, Calvados became an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée. Its production consists of the distillation of cider fermented and aged in oak barrels whose interior has been burned (which gives it this characteristic golden color). Patience is essential to be able to enjoy a good “Calva”. You have to wait 10 to 20 years. The years will gradually cause the eau-de-vie to lose all its aggressiveness while retaining its strength. Ingredients for 1 person: - 0.5 cl of grenadine syrup - 1.5 cl of apricot liqueur - 3 cl of calvados Prepare the recipe for Brittany cocktail in a shaker: Shake and garnish with a Cherry, an Orange zest and a mint leaf.
