Pontet Canet is one of the 1855 Grands Crus Classés of Bordeaux. The color of Château Pontet-Canet 2014 is purple and intense. The nose is captivating with frank fruit (black fruits) and precise. It is underlined by mineral and spicy notes which link this wine to the terroir from which it was born. The full and elegant attack continues with a fresh, dense and silky, almost creamy mid-palate. The whole reveals sensations of refinement and sophistication. The tannins are chiseled, of a very high level. The finish is impressively long. A wine of great precision. To best enjoy this Château Pontet-Canet 2014, the serving temperature should be around 15°C. You can enhance its aromas with the following food suggestion: - Aperitif: Braised sausage - Starter: Brouillade with chanterelles - Dish: Pork hazelnut with prunes - Cheese: Pélardon des Cévennes Château Pontet-Canet is a beautiful property with 81 hectares of vines, located in AOP Pauillac. Due to the quality of its wines and its frank identity, this estate has stood out from other Châteaux du Médoc since the beginning of the 19th century. In 1855, on the occasion of the imperial classification, Pontet-Canet even rose to the rank of 5th Grand Cru Classé. The Château today belongs to Guy Tesseron. Like his father before him, he was keen to find the origins of the land. It is for this reason that since 2010, the estate has produced certified biodynamic wines. John Euvrard's opinion Best Sommelier worker of France 2007 "One of the rare Grands Crus Classés to have converted to Biodynamics. The results are convincing. Pontet Canet has definitively risen to the top of its appellation."
