L'Hermitage from Gabriel Meffre's Laurus range reveals finesse and elegance from the first aromas where blackcurrant and black cherry rub shoulders with lightly roasted notes. The notes of white pepper, typical of Syrah, bring a lovely freshness to the palate and blend into a lovely stretched finish. You will serve it around 13-15°C. You will ideally open it 2 hours before tasting. Its aging potential is 4 to 12 years. The grapes are harvested in the area east of the Hermitage hill. The vines are planted in the sectors of: – “la Pierrelle”: alluvial terraces of small pebbles on alluvial soil at 180/200m altitude, southwest exposure, – “Les Murets”: more clayey terroir at 150m altitude, – “Beaumet”: brown sandy-stony soil, south-east exposure, at 150m altitude.
